![]() ![]() Overall, this Gatekeeper problem is currently awaiting intervention from Apple or Rodolfo's boss-whoever gets us the required certificate first. There is currently an open support issue with Apple to see about correcting the broken state of Rodolfo's tools and permissions, which they decided not to work on anymore tonight, and plan to resume work on tomorrow morning. Apple's tooling for this is messed up on several different fronts, and is preventing him from doing so. Technically, Rodolfo should be able to issue me such a certificate, or to just sign our files for us, but. Of the ~10 types of certificates you can get from Apple, it looks like we were given merely a "Mac Developer" certificate (the lowest of the low), and we need a "Developer ID Application" certificate (something closer to "the highest of the high") before we can sign the application. As such, it's understandable that he might give us the wrong type of certificate. Apparently, no one else at NU is distributing Gatekeeper-compliant, third-party Mac OS apps we're the first. After talking with Rodolfo, it seems that we were given the wrong kind of signing certificate for the application. ![]()
